Oma’s Sauerbraten

 

This can be made with Beef or Pork. I make it with Pork for Adriana :)

Sauerbraten

Beef or Pork
½ part vinegar
½ part water
mixed spices
carrots
celery
onion
1 cup currant jelly
1 teaspoon sugar
1 lemon rind
1/8 teaspoon mustard
ginger snaps

Brown meat with salt and pepper and flour in butter. Add to gravy 1 small can of tomato puree, sugar, and lemon rind and mustard. Use ginger snaps to thicken.
